Job Title: Associate Director Ecology

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director Ecology to join our team at RPS Group. As a key member of our ecology team, you will be responsible for leading and managing ecological projects, providing expert advice on ecological matters, and ensuring that our projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage ecological projects, including habitat surveys, species assessments, and impact assessments.
  • Provide expert advice on ecological matters, including policy, legislation, and best practice.
  • Develop and implement ecological strategies and plans to ensure that our projects are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including planning, design, and construction, to ensure that ecological considerations are integrated into project delivery.
  • Manage and develop a team of ecologists, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality ecological services.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Ecologist (CIEEM) or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in ecological consultancy, including habitat surveys, species assessments, and impact assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of ecological policy, legislation, and best practice.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders.
