Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Manager to join our team at O.C.O Technology Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day financial functions and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee the company's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a small finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Financial Planning: Produce monthly management accounts, close the month-end reporting cycle accurately and on time, and provide insight into business performance to the management team and board of directors.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to optimize business performance and drive growth.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including VAT, PAYE, corporation tax, and other relevant laws.
  • External Audit: Manage the external audit process, working alongside auditors to produce statutory accounts for sign-off by the Finance Director.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Support the Finance Director on future projects, including new systems, process enhancements, and internal control strengthening.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Experience: Previous experience of leading and mentoring a finance team, with a proactive nature and flexible approach to driving change in processes, systems, and controls.
  • Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong IT and systems knowledge, and comprehensive understanding of accounting software and Microsoft packages.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the Waste/Aggregate/Haulage markets.
