Job Title: Associate Director of Finance

Join NHS Scotland as we seek a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Finance to lead our Financial Management function. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving financial sustainability and improvement across our organization.

About the Role:

  • Lead the development and implementation of financial plans and strategies to achieve our statutory financial targets.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to develop short and medium-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with local, regional, and national priorities.
  • Provide professional financial advice and management information to support the delivery of our Financial Recovery Programme.
  • Deputise for the Deputy Director of Finance, including attendance and presentation at NHS Board and Performance Committee meetings.

About You:

  • Qualified to CCAB, CIMA, or equivalent, with significant experience at a management level within the public sector.
  • Proven track record of driving financial sustainability and improvement in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
