Job Title: Assistant Finance Systems Accountant

Morgan Law is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Finance Systems Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our Finance Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Finance team in day-to-day activities, ensuring high-quality services and information are underpinned by fully integrated and effective financial systems and processes.
  • Temporarily manage NHSR's financial systems, including overseeing the administration of finance software, Business Central (MSDynamics 365) and Webexpenses.
  • Work with the Financial & Systems Controller to ensure effective controls are in place, monitored, and reported with Management and Auditors as required.
  • Develop and maintain the finance system Business Central (BC), ensuring it is up-to-date and meets the needs of the organization.
  • Develop reporting using Power BI to integrate with BC, making sure reports are fit for purpose, deliver information efficiently, accurately, and are user-friendly.
  • Manage and maintain the staff expense claim system Webexpenses to ensure that all transactions are properly and accurately recorded to provide reliable and timely financial information.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain system controls, including reviewing relevant processes, its governance, and identifying and implementing continuous improvements.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant with any recognized body (e.g., ACCA/CIMA, CIPFA, etc.), or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Trained user of data intelligence and query tools such as SQL, Power BI, Power Query, or equivalent tools.
  • Significant experience of project management in relation to financial system implementation and development.
  • Practical experience in a range of financial systems and processes, including appropriate knowledge.
  • Competent in the management of financial systems, processes, financial reporting, and governance arrangements.
