Finance Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team at We Are Kenny. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate production of our monthly management accounts.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Performing bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and payables management
  • Maintaining detailed cashflow forecasts and providing insightful MI and reporting
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in implementing process improvements across the finance function
  • Assisting with year-end audit process and other general accounting tasks

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a finance department or accounting role
  • Exposure to posting month-end journals and monthly management accounts
  • Some kind of accounting qualification (likely part-qualified)
  • High proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with a willingness to learn new systems as required
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working to tight deadlines
