Job Title: Head of Children Services

About the Role

As Head of Service, you will shape and further improve early help and children's social care services, leveraging your expertise in building the confidence, capabilities, and resilience of the workforce.

You will have a proven track record of effective leadership in social care, ideally within a Local Authority setting, and a strong commitment to improving children's experiences and outcomes.

The successful candidate will be willing to engage in mentoring or coaching to further develop leadership skills and will have a competitive salary, a generous relocation package up to £8,000, and a tailored induction to meet their specific learning and support needs.

About the Team

Cornwall Council has a wide range of innovative multidisciplinary teams and team around the child initiatives to support the most complex children and families who are at most risk.

The team is committed to relationship-based practice and Early Help, ensuring early intervention and access to the right support before issues escalate.
