As Head of Service, you will shape and further improve early help and children's social care services, leveraging your expertise in building the confidence, capabilities, and resilience of the workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Shape and further improve early help and children's social care services
- Proven track record of effective leadership in social care (ideally within a Local Authority setting)
- Strong commitment to improving children's experiences and outcomes
- Expertise in building the confidence, capabilities, and resilience of the workforce
- Willingness to engage in mentoring or coaching to further develop leadership skills
We offer a competitive salary, a generous relocation package up to £8,000, a tailored induction to meet your specific learning and support needs, and an outstanding core curriculum to support your ongoing leadership development.
You will also have access to a Cornwall Council lease car, 26 days paid annual leave per year (rising to 29 after 5 years of service), plus bank holidays, and flexible working opportunities.
