Position Overview

The energy industry is undergoing significant changes driven by increasing demand, regulatory updates, ambitious carbon reduction goals, and innovative technologies.

We are seeking a Ground Engineer to become a vital member of our Ground Assessment team, focusing on the energy sector. This role is essential in delivering our ground engineering services, including geotechnical and geo-environmental assessments, while contributing to the expansion of our energy project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and oversee field investigations to evaluate soil characteristics, groundwater levels, and ground stability.
- Analyze data to identify ground conditions and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
- Present findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, architects, and contractors throughout project lifecycles.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure optimal value and excellence in client service.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology, or geology. You should have a proven track record in supporting projects that assess ground conditions, from planning through execution to data analysis and reporting. A strong understanding of UK & Ireland geology and geotechnical/geo-environmental principles is essential.
