Electrical Training Specialist Opportunities in Plymouth and Redruth

Position Overview

The Focus Training Group is a reputable organization committed to delivering high-quality training for individuals seeking to enhance their skills, qualifications, and career trajectories.

We cater to a diverse array of industries and job functions, providing both training and employment pathways. The Focus Training Group consistently achieves outstanding results in apprenticeship and short course training across five specialized centers located in Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, and Redruth.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for training and assessing within the Electrical sector, ensuring that the quality of education provided meets the highest standards. One role is situated in Plymouth, while the other is in Redruth, requiring teaching four days a week with one day allocated for preparation.

Your Role as a Trainer/Assessor

As a Trainer/Assessor, you will:

  • Communicate effectively and professionally across all brands and centers.
  • Support all learners in accordance with The Focus Training Group's policies and procedures.
  • Instruct learners enrolled in the Electrotechnical Level 3 Apprenticeship program.
  • Maintain current knowledge to meet the technical and assessment standards set by awarding organizations.
  • Work towards obtaining relevant qualifications as necessary.
  • Stay updated with current legislation and best practices within the trade.
  • Motivate learners to achieve their goals.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) as a condition of employment.

A teaching or assessing qualification is preferred but not mandatory.

Applicants should have relevant industry qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) along with a minimum of five years of practical experience. If you do not currently hold a Level 3 testing qualification, JIB Card (Electrician Grade minimum), or an assessor award, we can facilitate and fund this training as part of your onboarding process.

Employment Details

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £37,000.00-£41,000.00 per annum
