Location: Central London (Hybrid)
Baker Charles, a distinguished player in the international hospitality sector, is on the lookout for a Finance Manager to enhance their finance team. As the organization embarks on an ambitious growth journey, expanding its footprint both nationally and internationally, the need for a skilled finance professional has never been more critical.
In this essential role, you will report to the Financial Controller and take charge of the entire finance function. Your leadership will be crucial in managing the Management Accounts process and supervising a team of two direct reports. Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Conducting variance analysis to assess performance against budget.
- Managing accurate accruals and prepayments on the balance sheet.
- Performing monthly balance sheet reviews, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborating with department heads and operational managers on P&L inquiries and accounting practices.
A significant part of your role will involve ensuring that new investments and pre-opening expenses are accurately recorded and easily accessible for senior management review. You will also undertake various ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Financial Controller, which may include project work and support for new site launches, as well as assisting with audit processes.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record in a complex multi-site organization. You should possess strong leadership qualities, a proactive mindset, and exceptional analytical skills. Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities are essential, along with proficiency in Excel and effective communication skills. The ability to foster relationships with stakeholders is also crucial.
