Job Title: Trainee Children and Young People's Wellbeing PractitionerJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trainee Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Mental Health Support Team in Norfolk and Waveney. The successful candidate will provide case management and clinical supervision to Education Mental Health Practitioners and Trainee EMHPs, manage a caseload, and provide mental health care services to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems in education settings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessment and formulation of mental health difficulties in children and young people.
  • Offer evidence-based practice in guided self-help, CBT, child and adolescent mental health practice, and Whole School Approaches to mental health.
  • Clinically develop the provision of group work for children/young people and training for teaching staff.
  • Ensure the 'voice of the child/young person' is pivotal in all aspects of clinical practice and development.
  • Participate in the MHST Supervisors course run through the University of East Anglia.
Requirements:
  • Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner qualification, EMHP Certificate or Diploma, or Core professional qualification relevant to mental health.
  • Registration with relevant professional body.
  • A qualification in provision of supervision.
  • CBT Training/Qualification.
  • Two years+ experience as a Band 5 or equivalent clinician.
  • Demonstrate effective risk assessment and risk management experience.
  • Experience of providing supervision.
  • Experience in the delivery of evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents.
  • Experience in delivering group-based interventions.
  • Experience of working within a service which has demanding targets and performance management.
  • Experience of working in a community environment.
  • Experience of working in an educational environment.
