We are collaborating with a prominent manufacturer who is in need of a proficient engineer with expertise in Siemens and Rockwell systems. Your role will involve proactive troubleshooting and adhering to a scheduled maintenance plan to minimize downtime.
This state-of-the-art facility supplies leading supermarkets and offers a fantastic chance to become part of an established team.
Although this position operates Monday to Friday during DAYS, flexibility is required as you may occasionally need to cover shifts or provide holiday support.
Key Responsibilities of the Automation Engineer:
  • Deliver hands-on technical assistance for instrumentation and electrical control systems.
  • Maintain backups of programs and update documentation, schematics, and drawings.
  • Evaluate and implement necessary upgrades or projects related to instrumentation and electrical control systems.
  • Support daily maintenance activities and assist during shutdowns and investment projects.
  • Program, monitor, and modify PLC and DCS control logic.
  • Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, and relay control systems.
  • Participate in the emergency on-call roster.
  • Promote safe working practices throughout the facility and address any safety concerns.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • 18th Edition certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in reading advanced electrical schematics.
  • Experience with PLC systems, including Siemens S5 and Rockwell.
  • Ability to work on HMIs, including development, modification, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with robotics, including teaching and programming.
