Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Construction Trades Lecturer to join our 14-16 Alternative Provision at Bradford College. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our students and contribute to our vision of working together to transform lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach on Construction trade courses specified by the Curriculum Team Leader, Curriculum Area manager or the Head of Department for 14-16 within the college.
  • Participate actively in the development of the curriculum.
  • Enrol, monitor, and assess students on college courses, providing individual learning plans and support to drive their progress.
  • Supervise and manage students on placements and offsite visits, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Implement and promote College regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Undertake invigilation duties as required.
  • Participate in the maintenance and promotion of close links with employers and training agencies.
  • Provide information to parents/employers through college reporting systems and open evenings.
  • Assist the departmental management team with costings and control of materials and equipment.
Requirements
  • Learner and quality focused with a commitment to our vision.
  • GCSE A*- C or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in Maths or equivalent.
  • GCSE A*- C or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in English or equivalent.
  • Relevant Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed/PSET).
  • A Level 3 qualification in a related area.
  • Experience of successful teaching/training and evidence of performance/data to support it.
  • Experience of high-quality teaching within a school/FE environment or equivalent related industrial experience.
  • Experience of improving the learning environment, teaching, and/or assessment and feedback methods.
  • Experience of student pastoral care and disciplinary procedures.
