Position Overview
We are pleased to present a unique opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Information Governance Coordinator to join our esteemed Information Governance Team. This role is integral to our ongoing commitment to uphold the highest standards of information governance within a prominent NHS Foundation Trust.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to key regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, the Freedom of Information Act 2000, and other relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities associated with this position include:
- Overseeing daily management of information governance requests related to research and development.
- Evaluating and enhancing departmental performance metrics.
- Offering expert guidance on all aspects of information governance, particularly in the context of research and development.
- Leading and advising on Data Protection Impact Assessments.
- Managing contracts and agreements.
- Contributing to the broader information governance initiatives of the trust.

Job Duties
This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with information governance policies across diverse clinical and corporate services. Key duties include:

- Supporting the Senior Information Risk Owner and Caldicott Guardian in maintaining compliance with ethical standards.
- Conducting audits and assessments to ensure adherence to information governance standards.
- Coordinating the annual submission of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
- Engaging with stakeholders to foster a strong information governance culture.
Qualifications and Experience
