Job Title: Works Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Works Manager to join our team in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring that all works are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Management: Provide overall management and leadership of the site team, ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation, client procedures, and approved RAMS.
  • Resource Management: Manage all resource levels, including direct and subcontract workforce, to ensure that the right level and appropriate resources are used.
  • Health and Safety: Promote and implement Zero Harm and behavioural safety initiatives, ensuring that all site personnel are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Project Coordination: Provide input into RAMs and methodology, ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with project plans and timelines.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that all communication is clear and concise.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports to management, highlighting any issues or concerns.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Qualifications: Valid SMSTS, CSCS Card, and a current driving license.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to think and act decisively.
