About Us: Galldris Group is a leading construction company that specializes in civil engineering projects. We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join our team in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate site operations: Oversee the daily activities of the site team, ensuring that all works are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Supervise and mentor staff: Provide guidance and support to site staff, including foremen, general foremen, and laborers.
- Ensure compliance with regulations: Ensure that all site activities comply with relevant health and safety legislation, client procedures, and approved RAMS.
- Manage resources and logistics: Reconcile resources against the cost plan, manage all resource levels, and ensure that the right level of resources are on-site with the appropriate competence.
- Monitor and report progress: Provide regular updates on site progress, including daily checks and other records.
- Develop and implement safety initiatives: Promote and implement Zero Harm and behavioral safety initiatives, ensuring that all site staff are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
- Manage plant and equipment: Responsible for hiring and off-hiring plant in accordance with client and company standards, and maintenance of plant register.
- Ensure quality control: Ensure that quality control is implemented, and all site activities meet the required standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering works within a regulated environment, such as the rail, highways, or water sector.
- Qualifications: Valid SMSTS, CSCS Card, and a current driving license.
- Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to think and act decisively.
