Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, providing high-quality foot health services to patients in community settings.

Main Responsibilities

As a Podiatrist in our community team, you will be responsible for assessing and planning individual patient care, working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will deliver patient care to a variety of clinical settings, including community health centres, domiciliary, and residential homes.

You will work with patients who have high-risk clinical needs, particularly those with diabetes, rheumatoid, and vascular/ischaemic long-term conditions. Your expertise will be essential in treating foot complications associated with these conditions.

About the Role

This is a part-time, fixed-term post for 6 months, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in community podiatry. You will work alongside experienced podiatrists and have access to regular supervision and our Preceptorship Programme.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with the HCPC
  • A degree in Podiatry with a Local Anaesthesia certificate
  • Excellent clinical skills and experience in treating patients with high-risk clinical needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and drive a car for work purposes
