About the Role

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our community health team. As a Community Podiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality foot health services to patients in community settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and plan individual patient care, working independently and as part of a team.
  • Deliver patient care to a variety of clinical settings, including community health centers, domiciliary, and residential homes.
  • Work with patients who have high-risk clinical needs, particularly those with diabetes, rheumatoid, and vascular/ischaemic long-term conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for foot complications associated with these conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including district nursing colleagues, acute MDfT, and Surgical Appliances department.
  • Participate in specialist clinical rotations, including nail surgery, biomechanics clinic, and acute MDfT wound clinic.

Requirements

  • Registered with the HCPC and a degree in Podiatry with a Local Anaesthesia certificate.
  • Excellent clinical skills and experience in treating patients with a wide variety of long-term conditions.
  • Ability to work flexibly and have access to a car for work purposes.
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to the service provided by the Trust.
