Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Podiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality foot health services to patients in community health centers, domiciliary, and residential settings.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and planning individual patient care
  • Working independently and as part of a team to deliver patient care
  • Treating patients with a wide range of long-term conditions, including diabetes, rheumatoid, and vascular/ischaemic conditions
  • Managing foot complications associated with these conditions
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including district nursing colleagues, acute MDfT, and Surgical Appliances department

Person Specification

Essential qualifications and experience include:

  • BSc (Hons) Podiatry
  • HCPC Registration
  • Effective clinical placement experience
  • Recent evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • NHS experience
  • Domiciliary and Nursing Home experience

Key skills and abilities include:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and an understanding of clinical governance in podiatry
  • Ability to drive and access to a vehicle
