About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of mechanical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including piping and piping components, pressure vessels, and hydraulic systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical datasheets, material lists, calculations, and engineering reports.
  • Participate in design review meetings and ensure compliance with design codes and regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in a highly regulated industry.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and MathCAD.
  • Experience working with design codes ASME VIII, ASTM, BS, and EN.
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered accreditation or working towards it.
