We are seeking an experienced and qualified Teacher to join our team at an independent SEMH school in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a small class of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To teach a small class of students with SEMH needs, adhering to individualized learning plans.
  • To manage and mentor a team of learning support workers.
  • To be a proactive part of the teaching team, contributing to the overall progress and development of students.
  • To encourage and facilitate a learning experience that provides students with opportunities to achieve.

Essential Skills:

  • QTS / QTLS (mandatory)
  • Ability to be fun and handle banter with pupils and staff.
  • Hardworking and able to work well on your own and as a team.
  • Dynamic and resilient, with a passion for inclusive learning.
  • Excellent communication skills and a therapeutic and holistic approach.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students, with a genuine passion for SEND and/or SEMH.
