SEN Teacher Position

Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Tees Valley
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a UK-wide SEN Trust in the Tees Valley area. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students with SEMH/ASC and specific learning difficulty needs, aged 11-16 years old.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the curriculum as prescribed by our schemes of work.
- Effectively plan lessons that are stimulating, relevant, and well-structured to cater to a wide range of abilities and communication needs.
- Work with the Head Teacher and other members of the leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of the school's vision, ethos, aims, and objectives.
- Deliver the ethos of the school and the educational vision and direction, enabling effective teaching and support, successful learning, and achievement by students.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching support and standards of students' achievement, using benchmarks and setting targets for improvement.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher status
- Science and/or secondary teaching experience desired
- Thorough working knowledge of the curriculum and how to adapt it for pupils with SEN
- Experience of working with young people with ASD
- Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedure
- Ability to create and maintain nurturing relationships with young people
