Role Summary
The Operations Manager (OM) is primarily responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our security services, enabling our teams to effectively safeguard Defence assets and respond to security incidents. In this capacity, you will oversee Security Officer Supervisors, ensuring they receive the necessary support to perform their duties to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily security operations, ensuring optimal use of resources to maintain readiness for security incidents.
  • Lead physical security initiatives and establish governance frameworks to mitigate risks.
  • Foster strong relationships with unit customers and Heads of Establishments, ensuring proactive service delivery.
  • Conduct risk assessments for all posts and ensure compliance with relevant policies.
  • Provide operational data and reports to Head Office as required.
  • Collaborate with other security entities to enhance service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with National Security Inspectorate standards across all units.
  • Review operational protocols and consult with Trade Unions on changes.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Complete necessary training to manage Health and Safety effectively.

Requirements
A full UK manual driving license is essential for site visits. The selection process will assess candidates against leadership and service management competencies.
