Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary School

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a local primary school in Walsall. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teacher and pupils in a 2-form entry school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the teacher in the classroom, assisting with lesson planning and delivery
  • Work with small groups and potentially on a 1:1 basis with pupils
  • Assist with the development and implementation of pupil action plans
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Valid Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Teaching Assistant 3 qualification
  • Previous experience working in a primary school
  • Previous experience working with pupils with SEND
  • Knowledge/training related to pupils with SEND
  • Experience supporting children and managing challenging behaviour
