Reports To: General Store Manager

Position Overview

As the leader of your designated area, you play a crucial role in upholding the Service standards, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the Front of House. You are responsible for driving the store's sales and profitability by implementing effective upselling techniques and prioritizing guest satisfaction. Your leadership will foster a motivated and positive work environment that encourages repeat visits to German Doner Kebab.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring Operational Excellence:

Supervise and manage the Front of House operations at a German Doner Kebab establishment. Guarantee that guest service aligns with company standards and that customer satisfaction remains high. Address guest complaints promptly and take necessary actions to resolve issues. Ensure the highest quality of food products is served to guests. Organize the Front of House and oversee team responsibilities to maximize both team and guest satisfaction. Train and guide team members through structured training programs to deliver outstanding guest service. Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback to keep morale high and productivity strong. Manage stock inventory for the Front of House and analyze usage patterns. Monitor compliance with food safety and health regulations. Promote and enhance the GDK brand effectively. Cultivate a positive work atmosphere and lead by example. Oversee Front of House operations and implement corrective measures as needed. Conduct pre- and post-shift meetings with the Front of House team to communicate objectives, share insights, and relay important business information. Take charge of the business performance of the Front of House at a German Doner Kebab location. Ensure adherence to GDK guidelines within the Front of House. Investigate and address the root causes of guest complaints related to the Front of House. Ensure all Front of House staff comply with company uniform standards. Welcome guests and manage table reservations efficiently. Organize and supervise the shifts of dining and counter staff. Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety practices. Prepare cash drawers and manage petty cash as needed. Assist in any Front of House role when required by circumstances. Foster teamwork, cooperation, and a positive attitude within the workplace. Complete all necessary daily reports at the end of each shift. Attend training sessions or meetings as required by German Doner Kebab or the Franchisee. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager based on business needs. Collaborate with the General Store Manager to coordinate all aspects of the Front of House. Ensure stock storage areas and the Front of House are consistently clean and organized. Work closely with the General Store Manager and the Store Team to achieve tight stock control and meet budgeted margins. Complete daily paperwork accurately. Greet all customers when possible and exemplify exceptional guest care. Lead efforts to maintain high standards of guest service. Support team members during peak times and undertake any operational duties necessary to meet guest expectations. Ensure that the GDK Front of House team is always well-groomed and presentable. Adhere to all legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business. Maintain a thorough understanding of all equipment and perform preventative maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Front of House Team Leader position should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a strong desire to work collaboratively as part of a team. Additionally, the following attributes, skills, knowledge, and abilities are highly valued:

Proven experience as a Supervisor/Duty Manager in the Food Industry. Demonstrated expertise in guest service management. Extensive knowledge of guest care principles. Proficiency in English. Familiarity with computer systems and POS technology. Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills. Financial management capabilities.
