Job Overview

DGH Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Manager/ Sustainability Lead to join our client's team in the Housing sector.

The successful candidate will lead the design, definition, and delivery of programs across Property Services, Sales, and Development, as well as Procurement, to mitigate against the impact of climate change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all reporting, including annual sustainability reports, SRS, and financial reporting
  • Have working knowledge of carbon emissions accounting and reporting
  • Technical sustainability experience required, including LCA, BREEAM, and SAP
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Background in consultancy/development, understanding the construction cycle from planning stage
  • Proven background in designing and developing strategic sustainability plans
  • Experience developing projects and applying principles, including Net Zero, Life Cycle Assessment, Home Quality Mark, Biodiversity Net Gain, and BREEAM
  • Previous Housing sector/construction experience is essential for this position
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainability and a proven track record of delivering successful projects. They will be able to lead and manage teams, develop and implement sustainability strategies, and work effectively with stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, able to articulate complex sustainability concepts to non-technical stakeholders. They will also have excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
