We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN specialist to join our team at Academics. As a specialist in supporting students with Special Educational Needs, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.


About the Role


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized support to students with ASD, working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide one-to-one support to students with ASD, promoting social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans, ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting social skills and emotional well-being among students
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and any areas of concern

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • Experience working with students with ASD or other Special Educational Needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students
  • Knowledge of strategies and techniques for supporting students with ASD, including behavior management and communication skills
