About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Anaesthetics Practitioner to join our team at Cromwell Hospital. As a key member of our anaesthetic team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth running of our operating theatres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert anaesthetic care to patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures
  • Work closely with the anaesthetic team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient theatre workflow
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of anaesthetic protocols and guidelines
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure they receive the necessary training and support
Requirements
  • Registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in anaesthetics, with a strong background in theatre practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
