About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Search. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for running the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence and playing a crucial role in menu development and team management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring seamless service delivery and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring they align with the company's vision and values.
  • Lead and motivate a team of chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and control food costs, ensuring maximum profitability and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the culinary team.
  • Ensure that all kitchen areas, including storerooms, fridges, and freezers, are maintained in a clean and organized manner, with accurate temperature records and up-to-date food labeling.
  • Contribute to the development of new dishes and menu items, ensuring they meet the company's quality and presentation standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests receive a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment, with a proven track record of managing a team and contributing to menu development.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a deep understanding of food preparation, presentation, and safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
