This position will involve overseeing activities from their facility, playing a vital role in the organization and reporting directly to the Head of Operations. The primary objective of this role is to provide exceptional service to clients while ensuring adherence to all internal compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute maintenance plans that minimize equipment downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as production, to outline comprehensive maintenance scopes for plant machinery, with clear timelines and budget constraints.
  • Effectively allocate resources for various tasks, ensuring adequacy against both internal and external demands.
  • Oversee the fleet asset register for machinery and its related components.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, driving cost-effectiveness while prioritizing top-tier service quality.
  • Contribute significantly to the implementation of systems and technologies that facilitate the documentation of safety-critical tasks.
  • Supervise Plant Engineers and Administrators, ensuring they are well-informed on new procedures and receive appropriate technical support.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possession of relevant certifications such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in budget management, with the capability to establish and follow new operational procedures.
  • A background in a maintenance setting, preferably within the rail sector.
  • Ability to lead teams of various sizes and collaborate effectively with other business units.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compliance and safety regulations.
