As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the overall operational activity of our concrete plant, ensuring high levels of customer service through delivery of production targets and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a lean manufacturing culture and mindset, embracing continuous improvement and best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, process, and procedures.
- Manage the overall operational activity of the site, taking direct responsibility for site-wide issues and ensuring legal compliance of all activities.
- Ensure high levels of customer service through delivery of production targets and quality standards.
- Focus on plant reliability and maintenance, ensuring the CMMS and other PPM schedules are adhered to.
- Financial accountability, with strong cost management adherence to budget and forecast.
- Lead and develop direct reports, identifying personal and team training needs to maximise resource potential and drive change.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in engineering, science, operations, or business management.
- Minimum 5 years senior production management experience in a world-class manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional Health & Safety awareness, with a NEBOSH Certificate or IOSH qualification.
- Strong managerial, organisational, planning, and leadership skills, especially managing change and coaching others.
- Ability to produce, analyse, and review detailed numerical data and make clear, sound decisions.
