About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boiler Plant Operator to join our team at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our four boilers and combined heat and power plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain the boilers and combined heat and power plant to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repair work to building services within the hospital site.
  • Work collaboratively with other boiler operatives to provide a flexible working arrangement and cover plant operation at all times.
  • Carry out tasks to the frequency laid down by the Supervisor or as the work arises.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Building Services or Engineering environment.
  • Possession of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Engineering.
  • City & Guilds Boiler Operatives Certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in the organisation and prioritisation of work load.
