We are seeking a highly motivated and committed Clinical Psychologist to join our Sutton and Merton Mental Health Learning Disability Team. The role is a 3-day a week position, and we can offer a hybrid approach to working.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the team, including appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from various sources.
- Work as an independent, autonomous practitioner with full responsibility for highly complex clinical work, while being accountable for all clinical decisions.
- Formulate and implement plans for the highly specialized psychological treatment and/or management of clients' problems, based on a thorough holistic assessment.
- Provide a range of highly specialist psychological interventions for clients, including individual therapy, group and family/couple therapy, psychological advice, behavioral interventions, and formal training to carers and other staff.
- Have full responsibility and autonomy for the appropriate assessment, formulation, and intervention package provided for the client, communicating with the referral agent and others involved with care on a regular basis.
- Provide expertise and highly specialist psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to clients' formulation, diagnosis, and treatment plan.
- Act as care coordinator where appropriate, ensuring the provision of a care package appropriate for the clients' needs, including coordinating the work of others involved with care, arranging clients' care reviews as required, and communicating effectively with the client, their family, and all others involved in care.

Requirements- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology, as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Registration with the HCPC under the appropriate domain-specific title.
- Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the HCPC.
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of adults with learning disabilities across a range of care settings.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course, presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.
