About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist to join our vibrant and enthusiastic team at South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessment and treatment to clients with common mental health problems, including depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and eating disorders.

The role will involve working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based psychological therapies, including CBT, IPT, DIT, BCT, and EMDR.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology or counselling psychology, with experience of working in a primary care setting and a proven track record of delivering high-quality psychological interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to clients with common mental health problems
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based psychological therapies
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, their families, and carers
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures
  • Participate in clinical supervision and peer review
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996)
  • Experience of working in a primary care setting
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality psychological interventions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
