About the Role:

You will be a key member of the management team, responsible for controlling the day-to-day operations of the plant, supporting across key financial areas, and acting as a business partner to various stakeholders throughout the company.

  • Monthly management reporting with supporting analysis
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Business partnering with key internal departments (sales, supply chain, production etc.) to drive financial performance
  • Analyse production activity and performance
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Cashflow management and monitoring
  • Ownership of the product costing process and supporting with new product development
  • Monitoring of costs, variances, supply chain costs, and G&A costs
  • Support colleagues in Capex requests and investments follow-up

Requirements:

  • Qualified/part-qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or QBE
  • Experience of managing day-to-day processes and ensuring relevant controls are in place
  • Manufacturing background and comfortable working in a fast-moving business (costing experience highly advantageous)
  • Commercially minded with the confidence to challenge the status quo
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build excellent relationships
  • Highly proficient with Excel (XLookUps, VLookUps, Pivot Tables) and data analysis/manipulation
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP an advantage)

In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualification) and the chance to work for a reputable SME entity of a larger, globally recognised Group. You will be office-based for the first month or two but once settled, you will be able to work from home 2 days per week.
