Job Description

Job Title: Primary Loan Closer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Closer to join our team in the Leveraged and Acquisition Finance (LAF) department. As a Loan Closer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Loan Syndicate team by ensuring the timely closing of all primary loans trades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Issuer Services Operations, loan syndicate, legal execution, KYC, Agency, and external legal counsel to ensure seamless trade execution.
  • Manage the full portfolio of primary leveraged loans, covering LMA, LSTA, Par trades, and ensure all documentation meets procedural and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with Legal internal/external teams to execute transfer certificates and pricing letters/funding memos throughout the trade life cycle.
  • Collect sub-allocations from lending fund managers and ensure entities are KYC'd ahead of settlement via Issuer Services or Middle Office.
  • Execute transfer certificates/assignment agreements with investors to settle primary allocations via ClearPar system or paper documentation.

Requirements:

  • Previous loan closing experience with a strong understanding of documentation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Clear par, Loan IQ, Debt domain, Excel, and LSTA and LMA documentation.
  • Pro-active problem-solving attitude with exceptional communication skills to deal with internal and external clients.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work to ensure transaction deadlines are achieved.
  • Able to deliver high accuracy and volume of work to excellent standards under pressure.
