Job Title: Senior Secondary Loan Closer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Secondary Loan Closer to join our team in London. As a key member of our EMEA Loan Documentation Team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Global Credit and Special Situations Group (GCSS) in the Global Markets Business.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, negotiate, and agree loan trade documentation with trading desks, Legal, and clients.
  • Comprehensive review of documentation to ensure compliance with transfer, tax, legal eligibility criteria.
  • Manage par and distressed asset inventory and coordinate trade settlement with external counterparties.
  • Extensive client interaction, managing expectations for trade settlement.
  • Ensure transactions are completed within a timely manner.
  • Involve in departmental project work, including system platform enhancements and process review.
  • Manage, annotate, report, and escalate exceptions to senior management, line of business, and business supervisory.
  • Provide support to the Confidentiality Agreements Team, helping to draft, negotiate, and execute Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Requirements:
  • Good understanding of the secondary loan trading market and Loan Market Association guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good attention to detail.
  • Client-facing experience and ability to conduct discussions with clients in a confident manner.
  • Risk-focused and able to identify issues and escalate to management.
  • Work well in a team environment and maintain focus to achieve the goals of the team and the business.
  • Ability to interact positively and effectively with all levels of management and associates.
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take on extended responsibility.
