HSBC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Primary Loan Closer. This role is a key part of our Loan Syndicate team within LAF (Leveraged and Acquisition Finance) and is responsible for ensuring the timely closing of all primary loans trades.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with Issuer Services Operations, loan syndicate, legal execution, KYC, Agency, and external legal counsel to ensure seamless trade execution.
- Manage the full portfolio of primary leveraged loans, ensuring all documentation meets procedural and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with Legal internal/external teams to execute transfer certificates and pricing letters/funding memos throughout the trade life cycle.
- Collect sub-allocations from lending fund managers and ensure KYC compliance before settlement.
- Execute transfer certificates/assignment agreements with investors to settle primary allocations via ClearPar or paper documentation.
- Previous loan closing experience with a strong understanding of documentation is essential.
- Knowledge of Clear par, Loan IQ, Debt domain, Excel, and LSTA and LMA documentation is required.
- Proactive problem-solving attitude with exceptional communication skills to deal with internal and external clients.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work to meet transaction deadlines.
- Able to deliver high accuracy and volume of work to excellent standards under pressure.
