Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gynaecological Oncology Specialist to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a Consultant in Women's Cancer Care, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our gynaecological oncology services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with gynaecological cancers, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols for gynaecological oncology.
  • Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.
  • Engage in research and audit projects relevant to gynaecological oncology.

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration with inclusion on the Specialist Register of GMC or eligibility for award of CCT in Gynaecology Oncology within 6 months of interview.
  • MRCOG or equivalent qualification.
  • Appropriate levels of skills and abilities expected from a properly trained consultant in gynaecological oncology.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of up-to-date gynaecological oncology.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • ALS certification.
  • Additional relevant degree(s).
  • Computer skills.
  • Evidence of audit projects.
  • Evidence of research relevant to gynaecological oncology.
  • Basic Welsh language skills.
