Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team at Page Personnel Finance. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance team with various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase Ledger
- Verify bank accounts for new suppliers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Raise purchase orders in line with company policies and procedures.
- Process and reconcile purchase invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Expenses
- Process cash expenses in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile and process credit card expenses, raising any issues with the supervisor.
- Additional Tasks
- Prepare and process journals in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct project work, such as validating supplier contact details in our in-house system.
- Raise sale invoices accurately and in a timely manner, in line with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure debtors are settled within agreed payment terms.
- Assist with routine credit control and work with the supervisor to resolve any issues.
Requirements
- Some finance experience with good administrative skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with people at different levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High levels of IT literacy, including proficiency in Excel.
- Self-motivated and a strong team player with a drive to continue own development at work and within studies.
- A positive 'can do' attitude with flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with seasonal pressure points.
- Good attention to detail.
- Immediate availability.
