Job Title: Weapon System Specialist

Weir Marine Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Weapon System Specialist to join our Naval Engineering Test Establishment (NETE) team. As a key member of our team, you will provide engineering, technical, and logistical support services to the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) and allied nations on a range of weapon systems and related support equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical solutions or changes to in-service equipment
  • Support test events, including planning, data collection, and data analysis
  • Develop, review, update, and distribute technical documentation
  • Conduct independent verification and validation (IV&V) of systems
  • Provide training related to supported systems
Requirements:
  • Engineering technologist diploma or BSc in Engineering or BSc with suitable military officer experience
  • 10 years of significant and recent experience in a related field
  • Ability to work with other team members to design, develop, and deploy quality solutions
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-experts
  • Resourcefulness and ability to work independently
