About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Youth Support Professional to join our team at Quality Service Recruitment. As a Youth Support Professional, you will have the opportunity to work with residential youth/children support services, providing care and support to a variety of young people and helping to develop their life skills for their futures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Player: Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive environment that promotes the well-being and development of young people.
  • Crisis Management: Handle challenging situations in a calm and measured manner, ensuring the safety and well-being of young people at all times.
  • Personality-Driven Approach: Use your personality to build positive relationships with young people, helping to create a sense of belonging and community.
  • Emotional Support: Provide emotional support to young people as and when required, helping them to develop coping strategies and manage their emotions.
  • Engagement and Activities: Take an active role in the hobbies and pastimes of the residents, helping to keep them engaged and motivated.
  • Shift Work: Work up to 3 shifts per week, with shift times between 08:30 and 22:00.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: NVQ level 3, or equivalent, in residential childcare.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 months of referenceable experience working within a residential childcare setting.
  • Training and Certifications: Valid mandatory training documents relevant to the support of young people/children, including safeguarding of vulnerable children.
  • DBS Certificate: An enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 3 months or registered on the update service with checks against the DBS Children's Barred List information.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.00 to £12.50, dependent on the hours worked. As a valued member of our team, you will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, helping you to grow and succeed in your career.
