Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Southwark

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Southwark. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with Autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Autism in a therapeutic and nurturing environment
  • Engage and support students' learning through various activities and interventions
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with students
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to maximize student achievement

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with SEND needs is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to de-escalate and support emotional regulation
  • Valid DBS registration or willingness to apply for a new one
  • Availability to work 5 days a week for at least 12-39 weeks
