Role Overview:

If you have a keen eye for detail and prefer working behind the scenes, the Stockroom Assistant position at 8Bits is ideal for you. Your responsibilities will include overseeing inventory, organizing stock, and supporting the sales floor to guarantee that customers have access to the products they desire. Your role is vital in sustaining an orderly stockroom and enhancing the overall shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unpack, and arrange incoming stock deliveries, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Maintain a tidy and well-organized stockroom, ensuring items are stored securely and are easily accessible.
  • Assist with inventory oversight, including counting stock and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Restock items on the sales floor as necessary, ensuring shelves and displays are adequately filled.
  • Prepare and package items for shipping or customer collection.
  • Facilitate stock transfers between locations and manage any associated documentation.
  • Support the sales team by promptly locating items in the stockroom as requested.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to stock management and safety.
  • Assist with periodic stocktaking and inventory assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with the sales and management teams to ensure seamless operations.

What We're Looking For:

  • Prior experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or similar capacity is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and transport heavy items and stand for extended durations.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management practices.
