Control Systems Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Control Engineer to join our team in Swindon. As a Control Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for our industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control System Design and Implementation: Define and implement all changes to control system code, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Troubleshooting and Resolution: Troubleshoot control system issues and develop effective resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration and Training: Work closely with the operations team to reduce false alarms and develop control system operational training for the operations and maintenance teams.
- Project Development: Develop sequences, cause & effects tables, I/O Schedules for all new projects and additions, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
- Commissioning and Maintenance: Ensure the control system is well-maintained by adhering to all preventative maintenance strategies for back-ups and upgrades.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock holding of control system spares to ensure minimal downtime.
- Team Development: Assist in the development of the ABSL Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Technicians to ensure they are comfortable troubleshooting control system issues on-call.
Requirements:
- Project Planning and Execution: Proven understanding of project planning and execution principles.
- Controls and Instrumentation Experience: Experience in a controls and instrumentation role, with a strong knowledge of specifications and regulations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming and DCS integrating knowledge.
