Job Title: Credit Control and Sales Ledger Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credit Control and Sales Ledger Clerk to join our finance team at Bagnall Hopkins Recruitment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales ledger and credit control functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, receipts, and customer statements. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process sales ledger invoices and receipts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  2. Manage customer relationships and resolve queries and issues
  3. Perform credit control functions to ensure cash inflows meet contracted terms
  4. Reconcile sales invoices and track business unit income reporting
  5. Liaise with the Business Development team and external stakeholders on new income streams
  6. Monitor and reconcile business unit trackers for monthly reporting
  7. Ensure documentation on owned processes is accurate and up-to-date
  8. Provide support for Finance coordinator as needed
Requirements
  1. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel and Outlook
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  4. Experience working within a sales ledger function
  5. Knowledge of GDPR and confidentiality
  6. Ability to adjust priorities and manage competing demands
