Job Title: CNC Engineer Apprentice

G4S Fire and Security Systems has secured a 10-year contract for the provision of Security Infrastructure for the Hinkley Point C New Nuclear Power Station. We are seeking an Apprentice Security Systems Engineer to work alongside our experienced engineering team on this exciting project.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Attend reactive fault calls and rectify faults on first visit.
  2. Carry out preventative maintenance as scheduled.
  3. Assist in installation and commissioning works.
  4. Support the Service Manager and Technical Lead in the pre-production test environment.
  5. Conduct site surveys for additional works.
  6. Accurately record site hardware and software configuration information.
  7. Maintain site stock levels.
  8. Provide cover on an out-of-hours basis.
  9. Assist in audits for quality procedures.
  10. Proactively interact with other site-based teams.
Training and Development:

We offer a Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Technician Apprenticeship, with potential to complete system-specific qualifications and training courses.

Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and software.
  • Good applied mathematical skills.
Future Prospects:

Opportunities to become a full-time Security Systems Engineer, with potential for further career development within G4S Fire and Security Systems.
