About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy Clinical Nurse Lead to join our Cancer Care team at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cancer services.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in cancer care, with a strong background in clinical haematology/oncology. You will be a registered nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement cancer care policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the development of cancer services and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide education and training to staff on cancer care and related topics
Requirements
  • Registered nurse with a strong background in clinical haematology/oncology
  • Extensive experience in cancer care, with a focus on patient-centered care
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
