About the Role

We are seeking a Behaviour Management Mentor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behaviour Management Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural needs in a secondary school in Newport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs.
  • Establish positive relationships with students to build trust and confidence.
  • Assist students academically and socially to unlock their potential and maximize their success.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment to promote wellbeing and support students' physical and mental health.
  • Develop and implement behaviour management and coping strategies.
  • Monitor and track progress to ensure students are consistently developing within the school.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children and young people who have had behavioural management needs.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours and maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
  • DBS and Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration is required.
