Job Title: Behaviour Management Mentor

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people within the education system?

We are seeking a Behaviour Management Mentor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behaviour Management Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural needs in a secondary school in Newport.

The Role:

As a Behaviour Management Mentor, your primary focus will be working closely with students who have behavioural needs. You will provide 1:1 and small group support to help them overcome challenges and succeed both academically and socially.

You will create a positive relationship with students to establish trust and assist them academically and socially to unlock their potential and maximise their success.

You will generate a positive and inclusive learning environment to promote wellbeing and support pupils' physical and mental health.

You will initiate behaviour management and coping strategies and monitor and track progress to ensure students are consistently developing within the school.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children/young people who have had behavioural management needs is essential.

You will require someone who is resilient and able to manage challenging behaviours.

DBS and Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration is required – Teaching Personnel can assist you with applying for these.
